Healthy Snacks for Kids in Winters

Doesn’t matter if you’re a teacher or a mother, ideas for snacks are important to make sure your little munchkins’ tummies stay full. Kids can be really picky when it comes to food. It is important that you make it interesting and healthy for them.

Winters bring a lot of new things with them. Jackets, mittens, mufflers, all make a comeback to the scene and you can’t help but feel giddy. The same way, winter snacks are something special. Try to involve your kid in the cooking process and see them learn language skills and confidence.

Cooking can also be a fun time that bonds you with your child or student. Try easy winter snacks for kids in your classroom as an activity or in your house to make your kids’ winter special.

Some healthy snacks for kids in winters are mentioned below. For your convenience, we have also given you the recipes!

1) Cinnamon Sugar French Toast Mittens

What kid doesn’t like French toasts? They’re sweet and soft, melting in your mouth. A kid’s favourite meal!

To make it even more interesting and suit the theme of winter, you can use a mitten shaped cookie cutter or any shape. And cut out the bread in shapes to make it pleasing for your kid’s eyes.

Recipe:

  1. 1) Cut out bread in mittens shape with the help of a cookie cutter. Involve your kid too, they will love cutting out shapes!
  2. 2) Whip an egg and dip the bread into the mixture.
  3. 3) Put some butter on a fry pan until it’s melted and put the cut-out bread onto it for it to get toasted.
  4. 4) Take out the toasted bread onto a plate and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon powder over it.
  5. 5) Cinnamon Sugar French Toast Mittens that your will love is ready!

2) Banana Snowman

Bananas are good for health and have essential nutrients that kids need for growth. But a lot of kids don’t want to eat bananas and why would they? Isn’t it boring? But don’t worry we have an interesting way to serve bananas that your kids will enjoy and eat.

What you’ll need:

–  1 banana, peeled and sliced (3 banana slices for each snowman)

–  5 mini chocolate chips

–  1 biscuit stick

–  1 baby carrot

–  1 strawberry, sliced into quarters

Recipe:

  1. 1) Take three banana slices and line them as shown in the picture.
  2. 2) Use two chocolate chips for eyes
  3. 3) Use three chocolate chips for buttons
  4. 4) Slice a carrot into a small piece and put it below the eyes to serve as a nose.
  5. 5) Break the biscuit stick in half and place them as arms.
  6. 6) Place the strawberry slice on top of the top banana slice to serve as a hat.

Get your kids to assemble the snowman, they will love the assembling process and eat the fruits with interest.
