In today’s age it is becoming impossible to keep your kids away from E-gaming. It is also because of the fact that it has become much normalized to get introduced to digital gaming at very young age. All of this is happening because there are little to no resources in the real world for kids to play with. If you’re looking for introducing this change, here are some tips to engage your kid more in physical games rather than E-gaming

Consult with your child’s doctor.

Your child’s paediatrician can explain the benefits of physical games for kids to your child in the most efficient way. They also know how crucial the physical activity is for your kid. They can also assist you and your child in determining that why sports, activities, or physical games for kids are important for your children.

Introduce the fun.

Help your child in finding a sport that they enjoy. The more they love the idea of it, they more they’re going to enjoy continue doing it. Get the entire family involved; make it a fun family activity.

Select a developmentally appropriate activity

A 7- or 8-year-old child, for example, is not ready for weight lifting or for running marathons, but soccer, bicycle riding, and swimming are some of the best activities they can get indulged in.

Be a role model.

Children do what they see. If they see you getting engaged in physical games they’re going to try doing it too. Not only this, but there is a good chance that they will end up sticking to the activity just because they see you doing it and enjoying it.

Have fun with your kids.

Help them in learning a new sport or physical activity that they can stick to. Or simply have fun with your family and friends by going for physical activities like hiking, biking, etc.

Establish boundaries

You can start by establishing boundaries for the things you like to eliminate. Each day, limit the screen time you’re your kids, which includes time spent watching TV, watching movies, using computers, and playing video games.

Make time for physical activity.

It’s so hard to take out time with such tight schedules. Children often find themselves overburdened with homework, music lessons, and other scheduled activities that they don’t get the time to engage in any physical gaming or sports. It is your job to make time for them.

Avoid excessive physical exercise.

Too much of anything is harmful. Physical activity and exercise is not harmful in anyway but sometimes the discomfort from it can be unbearable you’re your kid, your child should calm down or try a less strenuous activity if they have started to feel burnt out.
Help them change their habits and take it as one day at a time. Don’t overburden your kid or yourself, implement these tips to engage your kid more in physical games rather than E-gaming and watch them adapt this healthy habit with fun!
